After School Club

At Stepping Stones, we’re delighted to offer a caring, fun and relaxed after school club designed especially for reception children.

Following our nursery’s ethos, our club provides a safe and welcoming space for children to unwind, play and learn after a busy day at school.

Collection and Transport

We provide safe and reliable school collections, either by walking or in one of our nursery minibuses, depending on the school’s location.

Our trained team ensures every journey is calm, well-supervised and enjoyable, with the same high standards of care and safety you know from our nursery setting.

A Warm, Welcoming Environment

Once children arrive, they are greeted by familiar, friendly staff who help them settle in and transition smoothly from the school day. Our After School Club is designed to feel like a home away from home, a place where children can relax, have fun and be themselves.

We have a highly dedicated and caring team of highly qualified early years practitioners, all DBS checked and trained in paediatric first aid.

Activities and Play

Our activities are carefully planned to be age-appropriate, engaging and allows each child to follow their interests and unwind at their own pace.

Activities may include:

● Creative arts and crafts

● Science experiments

● Construction and imaginative play

● Games, puzzles and group challenges

● Story time and quiet corners for rest

Light Tea Provided

A balanced light tea is served each afternoon, giving children a chance to refuel and relax.

Meals are freshly prepared and cater to individual dietary needs.

Fees

Sessions available from Monday - Friday

From after school until 5pm (tea included) £12.50 per day

From after school until 6pm (tea included) £15 per day

Booking and Payment Terms

We require a full-term booking in advance, with a minimum commitment of two sessions per week. While we may be able to accommodate ad hoc sessions, these are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. A £50 deposit is payable upon booking and will be deducted from your first term’s invoice. All fees are payable termly in advance.

Holiday Club

At Stepping Stones, we’re excited to offer a nurturing and adventure-filled school holiday club for reception-aged children.

Rooted in our ethos, our holiday club provides a safe, caring and inspiring environment where children can relax, play and explore during school breaks.

Every day is designed to balance comfort, creativity and discovery — giving children a true “holiday” experience while maintaining the same exceptional care and values that define Stepping Stones Nursery.

Our Holiday Club Experience

Children enjoy a full day of fun, friendship and exploration with a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors.

Our carefully planned program encourages curiosity, imagination and adventure — with opportunities to rest, play and learn at their own pace.

Activities Include:

● Creative arts and crafts

● Outdoor play and nature walks

● Music, movement and dance

● Water and sensory play

● Baking and simple cooking

● Group games and team challenges

● Quiet time for reading or mindfulness

● Exciting trips within the local community

No two days are the same — every week brings new experiences designed to inspire confidence, joy, and a sense of wonder.

Trips and Adventures

Our children love exploring the world beyond our setting.

We take regular outings into the local community and further afield in our nursery minibuses or via public transport.

All trips are risk-assessed and fully supervised with our very high adult-to-child ratios, ensuring safety and comfort at every stage.

From park adventures and library visits to exploring nature reserves or local attractions, each trip is an exciting opportunity to learn through real-life experiences.

Meals and Nutrition

We take pride in providing healthy, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, so there’s no need to bring food from home — we cannot store packed lunches.

Your child will enjoy:

● A nutritious breakfast to start the day

● Two snacks (morning and afternoon)

● A freshly prepared hot lunch supplied by Zebedees

● A light tea, if staying later in the day

All meals are prepared by our team and tailored to children’s individual dietary needs.

Our Holiday Club fee includes:

● All meals and snacks throughout the day

● Exciting trips and local outings

● Use of wet weather gear for outdoor play in all seasons

● A full range of age-appropriate activities and experiences

● Care and supervision from a highly qualified team with a very high staff-to-child ratio

● Safe and reliable use of our two minibuses for trips and transport

Enhanced Care Charge

Our Enhanced Care Charge is £10 per hour, which covers our premium level of staffing, nutritious meals, high-quality activities, and enriched outings.

This allows us to ensure every child receives the individual attention, warmth and support that Stepping Stones is known for.

Fees and Hours

Our holiday club is charged at £10 per hour Monday to Friday, the available hours are below.

All day Sessions:

Start at 8am or 9am and run until 4pm, 5pm or 6pm.

Morning Sessions:

Start at 8am or 9am and run until 1pm

Afternoon Sessions: Start at 1pm and run until 4pm, 5pm or 6pm.

Booking & Payment

Advance Booking Required: All sessions must be booked in advance.

Payment Terms: Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Unpaid bookings may be cancelled.

Late Bookings: Subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
