About Stepping Stones

At Stepping Stones Nursery, we believe that every child’s early years should be filled with warmth, discovery and joy. Our ethos guides everything we do.

We provide a caring, stimulating environment where children feel safe to explore, learn and thrive at their own pace. Through play, creativity and exploration, we inspire a lifelong love of learning and help children develop the confidence to take their own first steps toward independence.

Our dedicated team of early years professionals works closely with families to ensure each child’s needs, interests and personality are valued and supported. Whether they’re discovering something new in our learning spaces, exploring the outdoors, or building friendships that last, every moment at Stepping Stones is an opportunity to grow.

At Stepping Stones Nursery, the world is our classroom. We enjoy daily outings into the local community — visiting parks, nature reserves and libraries — helping children feel connected to where they live. Our two minibuses and local public transport also take us on exciting trips further afield, giving children the chance to explore new places, spark their curiosity and learn through real-world adventures.

At Stepping Stones Nursery, we don’t just prepare children for school — we help them build the foundations for a happy, curious, and confident life.

We offer funded places for eligible from 9 months.

Healthy Food Choices 

A healthy varied diet is provided by Zebedees  , one of the UK’s leading nursery caterers.

The children receive a healthy breakfast, a hot lunch with dessert and healthy snacks in the morning and afternoon. If they’re with us after 4pm we provide a light tea with dessert.

Stepping Stones has been awarded a 5 Star food safety rating by the Food Standards Agency.
